I've totally been where you are EQ. I used to think everyone hated me. I used to think everyone ignored me and poked fun, blah blah. I just felt like I wasnt respected. So i would get all emotional about it and blow up. After a lot of years, I realized. If the people of spawn land dont like, so-the-fuck-what? So now I try to stay calm. I try not to react in a rage. And I try to avoid internet fights a much as possible.
Just ignore the shit man.
It makes the board more fun.
There are a lot of cool people here. But even cool people sometimes step on others toes( most of the time it's accidental.)
Do like I do.
There are only a few people on the board that I even acknowledge anymore (and they just happen to be all here). Just pick the people you wanna relate to, read their stuff, and skip the rest.

EQ, when you read something that someone posts, don't just immediately react to it. If it pisses you off or upsets you, the first thing you should do is make a point to NOT immediately respond. Clear your head and read it again. Try to reason with yourself whether it's something to legitimately get upset about or if you are having an impulsive reaction....or, if you are taking it the wrong way. If you're still upset, then walk away for awhile. Come back later and read it again. 9 out of 10 times, people are just kidding with you, and maybe you'll be able to see that if you cool off.
If you're still just as pissed at that point, then try to respond to that individual in a rational, organized way. Express that you are upset, but don't just freak out and call them names, or say you are leaving because of it. If you can't do that, then take it off the board and talk to the individual. And if nothing else works or if that other person is unresponsive, then try to just laugh it off. Tell yourself that that person is a dick, and just avoid them in the future. Chances are you will get over it in a few days and probably end up being friends with that person later on. And if not, so what? Is ONE insult worth abandoning ALL of your friends?
I think everyone is just trying to help you out. Everyone is pretty much saying to just cool off and let's start over, no hard feelings. You can't ask for more than that. If it's just attention that you are looking for, then I don't think this is the way to go about it. You don't need to make a big drama just so people know you are here. Just be a part of things and don't take it all so seriously...swerve around the bad stuff, but stick around for the good. Like chaser says, the real world fucking sucks and this place really ought to be an escape for all of us. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Hell, even I realize that I over-react now and then (my wake on the Spawn board right now is evidence of that)
This board is pretty light hearted and tongue in cheek... if you want to make a big battle out of it, then whatever... nobody has it out for you.
